Trail riding season has ended, and we thank everyone who spent time with us in the saddle last spring, summer, and fall!

We will start taking reservations for the summer 2025 season on April 1st.

Trail Rides at Bears Ranch offers magnificent horseback rides through the
Chris Park and Haviland Lake trail system.
It’s our joy to share western traditions with travelers from all over - we’re so excited to see you in the saddle!

GreyEyes LLC DBA Trail Rides and Sleigh Rides at Bears Ranch operates under a special use permit for the San Juan National Forest and is an equal opportunity service provider.

Please note before booking:
- Riders must be at least 7 years of age to go out on the trail. There is no double riding allowed.
- We have a strict weight limit of 230 pounds per rider. This is to protect our guests and horses.

- Reservations cannot be made online within 48 hours of the scheduled ride. If you are trying to book within that time frame please call the ranch to check availability.
- During the heat of summer southwestern Colorado does experience a monsoon season, so if available, we do recommend morning rides.
If it is going to rain it is more likely to rain in the afternoon during this time. (Monsoon season usually runs late June through August)
- We are closed on Sundays May through August
-We are closed on Mondays September through October
-Our trail riding season will run May 10th - October 13th
